I have been interested in human potential for a good few years now and I’ve collected together some fascinating materials – the work of people like Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Dennis Waitely, Zig Ziglar, Anthony Robbins, Loral Langemieir – all the popular gurus as well as some less well known. And whilst this has been something of a hobby for me, it has also, I’m sure, made a great deal of difference to my growth and development as an individual.

But a couple of years ago, I chanced across the work of a Canadian called Bob Proctor and I can not tell you, what an impact the implementation of his simple ideas has had on my life.

Bob turned his life around from a hopeless situation to unbelievable success in a very short space of time, almost 50 years ago. He’s been researching, collecting, learning and studying ever since and spends practically all of every day, sharing his ideas with people all around the world. If you’re looking to change the results that you’re getting in any area of your life, then I can’t recommend his materials and programs to you strongly enough. And whilst I mean that with all the sincerity I can convey, that is not actually the purpose of my writing or the opportunity I referred to at the top of this letter.

Bob’s life turned around the moment someone put a certain book in his hands. A book that was released in 1934 and has been a best seller ever since. Today you can search Amazon for books on leadership and hundreds of titles will appear; but in the 20 years prior to publication, the author of the book I’m referring to have no alternative but to do the research himself. And so that’s what he did, he interviewed 25,000 people over a 20 year period, including 500 of the richest and most powerful people in America at the time. The culmination of that research is one of the most complete manuals on personal development ever written. It’s exhaustively researched, well put together, easy to read and most importantly of all…it works!

Bob carries the book with him into every seminar he conducts and still reads the book a couple of times every year. If you are short of a good book to read, then this book would certainly top my list of recommendations to you.

The author I’m referring to is Napoleon Hill, and the book is the phenomenally successful classic, Think and Grow Rich. This book has truly stood the test of time.

In reading a book of just a couple of hundred pages that is so rich in wisdom, so packed full of ideas, there is a real danger that we miss some of the key points that the author was trying to get across, or that we misunderstand certain aspects.

And that is really the reason for this letter. Over the years, Bob has put together a series of lessons, for want of a better word, based on the key chapters of the book. In each of these lessons, he identifies the key lines to focus on, the questions to ponder, the key teaching points etc. Reading the book alone is a very rewarding process. But to read the book in conjunction with a study guide prepared by someone who has been reading the book for nearly 50 years and is currently one of the highest paid coaches in the world, is quite another.

On January, I am holding a meeting with eight like minded individuals who are looking for something more out of life and who are open minded enough to consider other peoples’ ideas on how to get more out of life.

As Bob often says, if your way isn’t working, why don’t you try ours? Or put another way by Jim Rohn, don’t take too long to learn life’s lessons, if you’ve been doing it wrong for ten years, I would suggest that that’s long enough!

The meeting will be the first of ten one hour sessions, at the same time and place each week, to go through ten key chapters of this compelling masterpiece, and to discuss as a group, how each of us can apply these timeless truths to our lives today.

There is no charge for the course whatsoever. All I ask of you is that you consider in advance the commitment to make the meeting every week, and if you think it is something that you can commit to, then you do all that you reasonably can to be at the meeting on time every week. Besides this, all you need is a copy of the book, which I can supply at cost or you can purchase for yourself.

The book is every bit as valid today as it was 75 years ago and the comprehensive program of study that Bob has evolved through his years of studying the book, is quite simply priceless.
